At Pharrell Marine Equipment Supplies (PMES), we aim to process and dispatch your marine gear as quickly and securely as possible. Please review our shipping frameworks, regional delivery guidelines, international tax exemptions and checkout protection terms below.
1. Dispatch Timelines & Order Tracking
We process and ship the vast majority of orders within 24 hours of payment confirmation (excluding weekends and Victorian public holidays). As soon as your consignment is formally dispatched from our Melbourne facility, a tracking notification containing your courier tracking information will be automatically issued to your registered email address.
2. Domestic Shipping (Australia Wide)
We partner primarily with Australia Post alongside specialized freight carriers for heavy components to service all Australian states and territories:
- Calculated Rates: For orders under $200, domestic shipping charges are calculated automatically at checkout based on the weight, dimensions and destination of the parcel.
- Address Constraints: To guarantee a secure chain of custody, shipments cannot be delivered to PO Boxes, Parcel Lockers or Post Office collection desks. We do not support "Authority to Leave" (ATL).
- Unattended Deliveries: All shipments require a physical signature upon delivery. If your delivery address is unattended, the courier will not leave the parcel. A notification card will be left and your order will be securely transferred to your local post office or freight depot for counter collection.
3. International Shipping & Tax Information (Oceania Region)
PMES explicitly ships to the following destination countries within the Oceania region:
| • Australia | • New Zealand | • Fiji |
| • French Polynesia | • New Caledonia | • Cook Islands |
| • Papua New Guinea | • Samoa | • Solomon Islands |
| • Tonga | • Vanuatu |
- GST-Inclusive Store Pricing: In accordance with Australian consumer regulations, all base prices displayed on our website are fully inclusive of the 10% Australian Goods and Services Tax (GST).
- GST-Free Export Orders: If you are ordering from New Zealand or any other Oceania country outside of Australia, your purchase is 100% exempt from Australian GST, which will be adjusted dynamically during checkout.
- Local Customs & Import Duties: Because our marine systems represent premium commercial components, your international order will be subject to local destination import taxes (such as New Zealand's 15% GST) and border processing fees. These are collected directly by your country’s customs authority or importing courier upon arrival.
- Remote & Offshore Locations: Shipments destined for remote offshore islands or highly distant mainland coordinates may incur additional handling surcharges. Our logistics team will review these parameters upon order receipt and contact you if adjustments are required.
4. Transit Insurance & Optional Shipping Protection
Because premium marine gear and engineering instruments represent high-value investments, PMES features a seamless Shipping Protection and Insurance Program integrated directly into our digital checkout. This protection is fulfilled through a trusted third-party marine logistics insurance underwriter and operates under the following strict legal parameters:
4.1 Scope of Coverage
When active, this insurance protects your consignment against the following defined transit risks:
- Loss: The cargo fails to reach your delivery address and is formally declared lost by the freight carrier following an official tracking trace.
- Damage: The marine gear or NorDav equipment sustains physical breakage, structural cracking, deep scratching or material damage while in the custody of the transit courier.
- Theft: The delivery is stolen while in transit or immediately after a courier drop-off is completed without a signature.
4.2 Opt-Out and Liability Waiver
Due to the high-value nature of commercial marine hardware, Shipping Protection is selected by default at checkout. If you manually choose to unselect or remove this insurance option, you explicitly agree to the following legal conditions:
- Acknowledge the Checkout Warning: You must explicitly interact with the dual-action checkout warning popup modal stating: "Confirm Shipping Protection: You have unselected Shipping Insurance. Please note that your shipment will not be covered for any loss, damage or theft during transit. If this was a mistake, you can add protection back to secure your delivery."
- Total Transfer of Liability: PMES accepts zero financial liability for packages that are damaged, stolen or lost by third-party freight couriers if you intentionally opted out of insurance protection.
- Buyer Risk Assumption: You assume full financial responsibility for the delivery. Any claim for transit incidents must be managed, logged and negotiated by you directly with the shipping company. PMES will not issue store credits, cash refunds or complimentary replacement components for uninsured delivery losses.
4.3 Claim Processing Windows and Deadlines
To successfully process a transit claim via the third-party underwriter, you must notify PMES via our official communication channels within these strict timelines:
- For Damaged Goods: Within 48 hours of the package being marked as delivered on the courier tracking status. You must preserve all internal/external packaging materials and supply clear digital photos showing the damaged items and the specific box they arrived in.
- For Lost or Stolen Items: Within 7 days of the estimated or marked carrier delivery date. For suspected depot or porch theft after a drop-off, a valid local police report number must be provided alongside your formal claim submission.
4.4 Final Discretion and Governing Law
All compensation payouts, component replacements and claim validations are evaluated and decided solely by the third-party insurance underwriter. In line with Australian commercial standards, these optional shipping rules are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Victoria, Australia.
5. Checkout Ledger Displays & Receipt Logging
To ensure total clarity before you finalize a transaction, our payment matrix renders your active calculations transparently across your subtotals ledger:
- Subtotal Line Items: When protection is left active, the checkout summary dynamically registers a unique ledger entry labeled: Shipping Insurance (COVERED) alongside the calculated 2% premium fee based on your cart total (subtotal + shipping + tax).
- Uncovered Disclaimers: If you consciously select to bypass coverage via the popup modal, the cart table updates to display: Shipping Insurance (NOT COVERED) with a fixed value of $0.00.
- Permanent Metadata Logging: Your selection is permanently archived within your secure order metadata and rendered directly on your digital tax invoices and post-purchase confirmation emails using the color-coded indicators below:
Shipping Insurance: Covered
Shipping Insurance: Not Added
Note: These transactional tags are hardcoded directly into the database metadata log for each transaction and cannot be modified retroactively after shipment dispatch.
